Monte Verde Cloud Forest

Frequently, the most inaccessible places are the most spectacular and memorable. Monte Verde, Costa Rica is such a place. I was staying in Tabacon by the Arenal Volcano and wanted to try something different. Two boats, two jeeps, and one horse later I found what I was looking for. Monte Verde is a huge, unspoiled cloud forest in the middle of Costa Rica.
To get to the firest from the Tabacon area, the first step is a boat ride across the lake
